Passing here is also the 340 km long trail called Siljansleden. Where you can walk or go by mountainbike.

The picture is from  Harkonbergets viewpoint 375 m over the see. From here you can look out over the forest and the lake Siljan. You follow the yellow path whitch is 5 km and starts at the forstmuseeum and it finshes ther to. It is also a good path if you like to pick berry och fungus.

1,5 km from the hostel is the lake Jugen siutated. The bech is on the other side of the lake and it is siutated 4 km from the hostel.

Here you can fish both in the summer and in the winter. The lake is famous for the winter fishing. In the lake you can get pike and perch.

To have the right to fish you need a fishingcard which you can buy in the tourist bureau in Mora.

You can also fish here and in several other small rivers around. Here you can get grayling, salmon trout and pike.

Visit the forestry museum and the remains of former iron manifactury. Whith exhibitions.
