operation of the hostel has ben taken over by the Siljansfors Vandrarhem
HB from the 22 June 2008. The Forestry museum has run the hostel activity erlier. Before then it was used of the Swedish University of Agricultural Scienses as accomodation for researchers. |

The
house is built in 1782. Huset
byggdes 1782. Then it was recidence for the workers at the iron foundry
workers.
The house was then twice as big. 45 m x 10 m. The house is called "Nybruket" and nowadays also "Siljansfors Vandrarhem". |

Today
the house is separated in two parts. One side has it' entrance from the
road and Parkinglot the other has it's entrance from the small river side. Towards the road is two room and a big kitchen and one bathroom. Towards the small river is two room and one kitchen and one bathroom. On the north side of the house is the reception and another room. |
